Fate of the Vaal
Fate of the Vaal moved into the core game in v0.5.0, with a dedicated Atlas tree, a new Atlas location, Temple tablets, and major Temple cleanup.

Core access
- You first encounter Fate of the Vaal through six Ancient Beacons in Act 3.
- A second set of six Ancient Beacons appears in the Interludes.
- Energising beacons gives Energised Crystals and opens a portal to the Vaal Ruins.
- The mechanic now has its own Fate of the Vaal Atlas Passive Tree.
- Atziri's Temple appears on the Atlas in Lira Vaal, north-east of the start.
Temple rework
- Maps inside Lira Vaal always have Energised Crystals and grant Fate of the Vaal Atlas points.
- Temple Precursor Tablets can guarantee Vaal Beacons in maps for focused farming.
- The old room-deletion prevention strategy is gone; required deletions now turn connected rooms into simple path rooms.
- Temples start with more rooms, making Atziri faster to reach.
- Rooms can be upgraded to Tier 4 after unlocking the ability on the Temple Atlas Tree.
Item and currency notes
- Reward rooms from the Architect console were significantly improved.
- Medallion drop rate now scales with temple paths as well as other rooms.
- The default storage cap is now 60 Energised Crystals and 6 Medallions.
- Infusers now come in Armourer's, Blacksmith's, Arcanist's, and Catalysing versions.
- All Infusers require items at or above 20% quality.
