POE2 Bot – Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how the POE2 Dictionary Discord Bot ("the Bot") collects and uses data when added to your Discord server.

1. Data We Collect

Server Configuration (stored in Google Firebase)

When a server administrator runs /poe2-setup, the Bot stores:

  • Discord Server ID – to identify your server's settings
  • Announcement Channel ID – the channel you choose for patch note broadcasts
  • Language preference – English or Traditional Chinese

This data is used solely to deliver patch note announcements to the correct channel.

Blocklist (stored in Google Firebase)

If a user is blocked by a bot administrator from submitting reports, their Discord User ID, the reason for the block, and the timestamp are stored. This data is used only to enforce the block.

Bug Reports (sent to GitHub Issues)

When a user submits a report via /poe2-report, the following is forwarded to a private GitHub repository:

  • The title and description entered by the user
  • The server name and server ID where the command was used

This data is used solely to track and resolve reported issues.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

  • Message content (the Bot only reads slash command interactions)
  • Usernames, display names, or email addresses
  • Any personal information beyond Discord IDs described above

3. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Server configuration is automatically deleted when the Bot is removed from your server.
  • Blocklist entries can be removed by contacting the bot owner.
  • Bug reports on GitHub are managed and may be closed or deleted at the owner's discretion.

4. Third-Party Services

The Bot uses the following third-party services:

  • Google Firebase / Firestore – server configuration and blocklist storage (Privacy Policy)
  • GitHub – bug report tracking (Privacy Policy)
  • poe2scout.com – currency price data (no user data is shared)

5. Contact

If you have questions or wish to request data deletion, please contact us via the /poe2-report command or through poe2dictionary.com/contact-en.
